I really wonder how you feel on these nights so alone

Another Phase Begins...

Every once in awhile I have a shift in the style of music I listen to. It always changes randomly and for reasons I don't know. Maybe it's me maturing or just what suits what I'm going through at the moment. Back in grade 7-9 I was mostly into like R&B and hip-hop. Thinking I was "hood" I guess? Living in Scarbzzz. ha. Then I went through the whole super obsession with the latest bands like All-American Rejects, Panic!, FOB, The Academy Is..., Hellogoodbye.....etc. Searching up the latest pics and gushing over all the cute boys in the bands. I think then I kinda matured a bit and started listening to John Mayer and City&Colour. Just artist that simply had a love for music and you could see it when they played and in the lyrics that they wrote. You could feel the emotion and when they sang live it felt like you're back in your bedroom listening to one of their cd's on repeat. The beginning of freshman year was like my Paramore phase. It was nice to have a strong female voice to listen to. Then I went into silence. I don't know if maybe it was because of certain events that happened at the beginning of '09, but I just didn't really search for music or listen to it as much. And now the music is back. I think I'm diving into more chill music. If that's a genre. I'm getting into Adele and Regina Spektor and Stereophonics. All artists that I've heard of before, but never really paid much attention to. It's always awesome finding new music, and the fact that you can listen to a song over and over and over and over, and never get tired of hearing it.
